A superb French Mantle Clock in a slate case with green veined marble .The 8 day movement by hny Marc strikes the hours & halfs on a bell, having the visible escapement with ruby pallets makes this a very desirable clock. Fitted below the time is a small aneroid barometer in working order. The case has some minor chips to the outer edges nothing significant, there is a slither of slate missing just below the barometer dial, it cant be seen in this photo , but it is the white dot you can see. An outstanding French clock.

The pillars & base have had the paint done at some point recently. These clocks were only made for around one year, & probably only a few thousand worldwide, so that makes them fairly rare.
